Dr. Patricia Coughlin, PhD

We are proud to announce that master therapist Patricia Coughlin, PhD will be coming to Southern California for a 2 day video based seminar sponsored by BOLD Health.  She will be presenting a wide variety of case material across the spectrum of psychological disorders mild to severe psychopathology.  She will address a variety of tops including addiction, affect tolerance, self punishment due to unconscious guilt and the Oedipal conflict.

PATRICIA COUGHLIN, PHD: 

Dr. Coughlin is a master psychologist and trainer of clinical trainers who has held faculty positions at Northwestern University Medical School, Albany Medical College, the Thomas Jefferson School of Medicine, and is currently Clinical Faculty at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.
She also the author of three path-breaking books on psychotherapy: Her newest book, Maximizing Therapeutic Effectiveness In Dynamic Psychotherapy, was published in July 2016 by Routledge. Her first book, Intensive Short term Dynamic Psychotherapy: Theory and Technique, was unprecedented in the field of psychotherapy and is a primary text for all students of Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP).  She also authored Lives Transformed which was written in collaboration with Dr. David Malan, and published in 2006 by Karnac Books.
